John Lennon
Chords and lyrics

by Castor Dekker

To paraphrase Yoko Ono: I dedicate this site to the future guitarists. John always played from his heart. I hope you will learn to do the same.

So, whatcha lookin' at? Get yer gui-tar and play, folks. And please note: The files contained in this archive are the work of individual authors and represent their own interpretations of the songs. You may only use these files for private study, scholarship or research.

November 26, 2007 Memory Almost Full has been added. The songs are: Dance Tonight, Ever Present Past, The End Of The End, Feet In The Clouds, Gratitude, House Of Wax, Mr Bellamy, Nod Your Head, Only Mama Knows, See Your Sunshine, That Was Me, Vintage Clothes and You Tell Me.

November 9, 2007 I'm thinking of adding McCartney's latest album, Memory Almost Full. Would anyone like that? The chords elsewhere, on other sites, are pretty much s***.

October 21, 2007 Ha! He's back. But not with a vengeance, not yet, no. Nearly, though. Anyway, a lot of the Lennon songs have been corrected, updated, changed, meddled with, i.e. improved. Take a look at the following songs: Help Me To Help Myself, Nobody Told Me, Happy Xmas, Instant Karma, Jealous Guy, God, Mind Games, #9 Dream, Woman, Whatever Gets You Thru' The Night, Grow Old With Me, Isolation, Out The Blue, Old Dirt Road, Real Love, Remember, Watching The Wheels, How?, and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. You can now mail me again too. I'm also planning updates in the McCartney/Harrison department, but that damn McCartney keeps releasing stuff, I can't keep up with the guy, even though he's 65 now. It'll come, though. In the meantime, I'm sure one of those sites that steal from me like magpies on crack have his new songs, poorly-transcribed and full of bizarre errors, as is their wont. I'm not going to update the discographies anymore, though. Those things are giving me a headache.

March 16 Last December, the chords from the Lennonchords, McCartneychords and Harrisonchords sites were taken offline by the site owner to remove the possibility of legal threats from the American Music Publishing Association (MPA).

What you are looking at now is an unofficial mirror of the site, complete with chords, which is hosted independently of the original creator of the site. Be sure to check out the Dylanchords mirror.
